If you've been dreaming of a 70s-inspired elopement, you're in for a treat! I co-hosted this groovy styled shoot with Serenity Events, and let me tell you—it was hectic but SO worth it. Planning can feel like a whirlwind (okay, a full-on storm), but having an expert like Adrienne by my side made all the difference. In the end, everything came together beautifully.

And the best part? We snuck in a 70s-inspired bridal boudoir session!

Keep reading because you might just want to steal some ideas for your own elopement—yes, I’m totally giving you permission! Wink

The Vision: 70s-Inspired Elopement

When Adrienne and I first brainstormed, we knew we wanted something with a vintage twist. Out of all the decades, the 70s hold a special place in my heart—an era of love, peace, and freedom. And honestly? That’s my vibe, too. You feel me? Thought so.

We landed on Pema Osel Ling as the perfect location. The redwoods immediately became our biggest inspiration, and the cozy cabin aesthetic tied everything together. It was the ideal blend of nature, romance, and vintage.

Bringing the Details to Life to the 70s inspired Elopement

Beyond the gorgeous setting, we wanted to get creative with unique touches. So we incorporated:

  • A stunning espresso tower (because who doesn’t need a caffeine boost on their big day?)

  • An elegant tablescape with vintage charm, disco balls, and dreamy florals

  • A chic bar cart serving the most delicious custom cocktails

And let’s not forget—the boudoir session was the cherry on top. But I’ll get to that in a bit!

The Vendors Who Brought It All to Life for the 70s inspired elopement

This entire vision wouldn’t have come together without the incredible vendors. So let me take a moment to highlight each of them because they DESERVE it!

Pema Osel Ling – A Hidden Gem

Tucked away in the mountains, Pema Osel Ling is an underrated wedding venue that more couples need to know about!

  • Affordable pricing for full-day access

  • Breathtaking redwood ceremony space (literally a forest dream)

  • Spacious bridal suite and a tucked-away groom’s suite down the road

And that cozy bridal suite? That’s where we got the idea for the boudoir session. More on that soon!

Adrienne from Serenity Events – The Queen of Organization

If you need a wedding planner who is:

  • Patient

  • Flexible with time

  • A pro at keeping things organized (without stress!)

Then Adrienne is your girl.

Funny story—while I had a habit of "forgetting" things (oops), she kept everything on track like a true professional. On shoot day, she even printed schedules, divided photographers into groups, and created a rotating system to keep things running smoothly.

Adrienne, can you plan my life too, please?!

The Florist – Expressions Floral

Flowers are the finishing touch that gives any wedding that “wow” factor, and let me tell you—she delivered.

When she pulled up in her truck, I quietly watched from a distance. And within minutes? It was like the florals were meant to be there, perfectly complementing the redwoods and vintage theme.

The Bar Cart – Metiza Bartending

Not only did this vendor bring the most fun personality, but they also created the most amazing cocktails.

Having a live bartender serving personalized drinks? That’s the kind of touch that makes an elopement feel extra special. Highly recommend reaching out to her—you will NOT regret it!

Finding the right makeup artist for your wedding is stressful. You want someone who:

  • Understands your vision

  • Actually knows what they’re doing

  • Makes you feel like the most beautiful version of yourself

Well, Michelle is THAT person.

With a warm, inviting personality, she truly brings magic to life. Honestly?

I think she’s hiding a fairy godmother wand in her makeup kit. Michelle, stop gatekeeping—tell me where you got it!

AW Bridal – The Perfect Wedding Dress

We especially loved the unconventional short wedding dress, which was PERFECT for our elopement styled shoot.

AW Bridal offers quality, affordable wedding, bridesmaid, and occasion dresses in sizes 0-30, all customizable! If you're dress shopping, definitely check them out!

The Models – The Heart of the Shoot

Models sometimes get a bad rap, but I am here to break that stereotype—RIGHT NOW. They do so much work, and without them, this styled shoot would NOT have happened.

Meet the Couple

She’s an engineer by day, model at heart. With experience from boudoir print magazines to bridal modeling, she brought elegance, confidence, and effortless vintage vibes.

Her partner? A first-time model. But you would NEVER know it! He stepped into the role like a pro, and together, they brought so much authentic chemistry to the shoot.

Meet Our Boudoir Model

Absolutely stunning. Embodied the 70s spirit perfectly. Will inspire so many future brides who want to gift their partner something special.

She didn’t just pose—she brought the vision to LIFE.

Final Thoughts

This shoot was an absolute dream, and I hope it sparks some inspiration for your own elopement! Whether it’s the vintage vibes, stunning florals, or the idea of sneaking in a boudoir session, take what speaks to you and make it your own.

And if you need a rockstar team of vendors, now you know who to call.

Would love to hear—what’s your favorite detail from this shoot? Let’s chat in the comments!
